Bio

Bishop Leonard began preaching the gospel at the early age of 9 years old. He was baptized at the age of 7 years after a week-long revival held at his soon to be home church. He confessed his call into the ministry on his mother’s 29th birthday, March 18, 1962. He preached his first sermon April 22, 1962 at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Hodge, La where the Dr. Albert Patterson was the pastor. His message entitled The Holy Spirit (Acts 1: 8) would prove to be a prophetic word as he would continue in the ministry. He became a pastor of his first church at the age of 18. He was ordained in May 1970 and began as the shepherd of the Raybon Hill Baptist Church in Tannehill, La the first Sunday in June 1970.
